How he can look at that dland decide it's a red I will never understand.
Maybe saw the reaction the non-red from the Merseyside derby the other night

Never a red card 😂

A narrative btw, that I would argue has massively exaggerated the "abuse", in order to create a scenario where the manager leaves while keeping his stock high.

media in the country, simultaneously shot themselves in the foot in terms of the relationship with fans and future recruitment by seemingly allowing the outgoing manager to dictate the narrative. A very dangerous route to travel from a fan owned club.

A very balanced article which addresses much of the concern of Motherwell fans since he quit, which I've actually just come across after replying to an article written by a colleague of yours: bsky.app/profile/matt...

I think the replies in here sum things up, MFC have, with the aid of the popular

Can't argue with any of that. Smokescreen is exactly what the "abuse" is. He won't be in any future management jobs too long if that's the level of "abuse" that he bails due to. He's jumped before he was pushed, and he's managed to dictate the narrative around it - with the clubs help. It stinks.

I've also not seen anything questioning his/the clubs recruitment, or the fact we have a 1st team squad of 31. Poor Stuart has had Motherwell punching above their weight with his hands tied behind his back. No mention of how much time he'd been spending in the stands due to abusing officials either.

Absolutely. As I just said in another post there, it's as if SK had written that MFC announcement himself. That, SODs interviews and the video of Frail talking to the players (presumably just before we lost to Cork f'n City) has been horrific management of the situation from the club. Agree on SOD 👋

is really leaving a sour taste. It has been completely blown out of all proportion and the media are just running with it. You would almost think SK had written the statement about his departure himself.
January 30, 2025 at 8:49 AM
Changing his approach would be an admission that the tactics he'd arrogantly persevered with for so long were wrong. He would never ever make that admission. I have no ill will towards SK as a person, as a manager I didn't think much of him. But the way he has controlled his exit through the media
January 30, 2025 at 8:49 AM
It's incredible isn't it? SK has completely controlled the whole narrative. He either jumped now where he could control that narrative, or wait a few more games for us to plunge down the table and have it taken out of his hands. SODs interviews have also been wild.

It was always going to play out like this, he's a very arrogant man, there was no way he was going to admit to his failures.

Ah fella, I can only imagine. Thinking of you all.
