Nature can be brutal, but pigeons can carry diseases that can infect humans and they are hard to keep the populations in control. That's why Falcons (& hawks) are so important. The falcon can take a long time to get prey ready to be carried off, so it's a long brutal battle.

We're still stuck in a heat wave, its been that way since early Spring. We had one small fall in the last 2 months, hasn't rained in weeks. That is one reason I am not out every day, wildlife is stressed enough with the heat. [& I am upgrading my new pc].
