Gboard I think - or whatever the default is on the Pixel 7a.
Didn't do it when writing this reply, but now there's a weird jump which I think is it doing it then correcting it a few frames later.

Also - only start the swipe from the left half of the screen and don't do it on images (sometimes, anyway).
I'm confused about this empty area when you have nothing attached to a reply, though. Seeing 3 lines of what I've written at a time is jarring with that huge gap sitting there.
