Rules for thee, but not for me

Apparently Councillors should be able to park where they want, when they want, for as long as they want… provided they’re on “official business” according to Naas Mayor; Cllr Seamie Moore

Exclusive: Naas Mayor Defiant, Says He Won't Pay Parking Fine Because He Was On Council Business
Update: Kfm understands that the case has been dismissed and Cllr Moore will not have to pay a fine.

After 3 years in the planning process; MetroLink has been APPROVED!!!

This is a major hurdle to get passed and a HUGE day for public transport!!

“There is no back-pedalling on 30kph urban speed limits” - Minister Sean Canney

If that was true, then it would have been implemented already; the same way that 80->60 was earlier this year

Please join us at 10:30 outside the Dail this morning to demand safer Urban road speeds

Please join us on Thursday morning at 10:30am for a Rally at Leinster House with @Love30

We will be presenting the growing trends of vulnerable road deaths to the Oireachtas & calling on Government to introduce Safer National Road Speeds

CALL YOUR PUBLIC REPRESENTATIVES!!!

Budget 2026 will likely see fare increases or reductions in vital public services because of Government shortsightedness

Do not let them roll back the progress that was achieved during the last term

Unfortunately the scenes shown on tonight’s Primetime Investigates are far too common

The Governments plan for a dedicated transport security unit requires Primary Legislation & won’t be quick to implement

We have another meeting with the Dept about this in the coming weeks

We spoke to the Journal recently about the rapidly rising number of vulnerable road user deaths this year

On Oct 2nd, along with other transport & road safety groups, we’ll be presenting at the Oireachtas, calling for @Love30 to be introduced Nationally

Road deaths are going down - but more cyclists and pedestrians are being killed. Why?
The number of pedestrian and cyclist deaths is now at the highest level in six years.

The bus timetables for Phase 7 of #BusConnects have now been released

We’re going through them, but comment here if you see gaps in the schedule and we’ll raise them where we can

None of these routes are moving through the proposed pedestrian area on College Green according to the maps

We’ve heard of a few reports of glitches in the zonal leap card system recently

If you’re using one, have you come across any incorrect charges tagging on and off when moving between zones?

If you’re in a car that’s stuck in traffic this morning, remember it’s not the bike & bus lanes that’s causing the congestion you’re stuck in…. It’s all the cars 🚙 🚗

Safe and efficient transport infrastructure will help the people in those cars choose another option

The blatant denialism around the work already completed for the Herbert road junction is beyond frustrating

The N11/M11 bill is over €3m on design & consultation so far

If the Tanaiste would like to “see the detailed work”, he could just Google it:

Dart+ Coastal North has finally be approved 🥳🎉

This project electrifies the rail line between Malahide and Drogheda while increasing frequency and capacity!!

It also upgrades Howth Junction & Donaghmede Stations, which desperately need it

The Luas Red line won’t be running between the Point & Connolly stations for ‘at least a week’ due to the fire at George’s Dock Bridge last night

We’ve yet to hear if it requires a complete bridge replacement yet… if that happens it could be months

Our DART trains are already over a decade past their use-by date and the Government have added yet another step to think about replacing them

It’s a needless waste of time and a needless waste of money, meanwhile reliably gets worse for commuters
Department will not confirm why replacement of 41-year-old trains is subject to new review
— Replacement of original Dart trains is just 0.8% of the transport capital budget up to 2030.– The Government is accused of gambling with the reliability of the rail network.– If…

The Crowe report into the RPU has been released and there’s some incredible admissions in it

• ANPR not working in 30% of vehicles
• Checkpoints too close to depot’s
• Some staff blatantly not performing duties
• Supervisors hindered Policy issues

Every single time Ireland is developing new public Transport infrastructure, the same group of Billionaires & Politicians come out of the woodwork & call it a “White Elephant”

We’re expecting the Liffey Valley BusConnects contract to be signed today, but they seem to be pushing forward with a design that does not have planning permission

The new layout is dangerous, has less bus priority & makes a complete mockery of the planning process
