It's only huge if something happens. Trump has avoided accountability consistently so far & congress has been pretty weak about it.

All those people saying "it's not about the oil, Venezeulan oil is crap" are surely eating their words now.

It's America, it perpetually has blood on its hands, it's a pretty bloodthirsty country, so it must just feel par for the course. Obama was a step in the right direction & America could do better than him but decided worse is better. Though if up to me, hold them all accountable.

That is quite the surprise. Were they angry you broke into their house?

Also, injured my foot in my sleep not once, not twice but 5 or 6 times...maybe more but I am avoiding baiting a Gen Z meme.

*aren't now being priced out.

And like when Shadow PC came out, I thought it was a cool idea & the better stream option (because it was a PC you could do what you like) & they worked hard to get latency down.
But I'd be very worried when the company controlling the price of hardware is the same company that offers the service.
January 6, 2026 at 12:03 PM
They were already expensive, yes, but there were more affordable options if you did not mind going low or mid range. But now it's just ridiculous & will get worse. I'd be more accepting of rental options if people who could afford it are now being priced out. And there are finance options.
January 6, 2026 at 12:03 PM
So it's hard to take them making their game streaming service more accessible as a consolation because it's as though they know they're pricing us out & can get more people to stream games instead.

And their actions lately put me very much in the "screw nvidia" camp.
January 6, 2026 at 11:21 AM
As somebody who's always gone nvidia I would very much be on the side of encouraging Linux love.
But lately Nvidia is why we can't have nice things, they turned their backs on gamers in favour of AI and have been helping price gamers out of hardware. And its gaming that built their success.

Old labour was maybe better but new Labour are basically Tories.
January 3, 2026 at 1:17 PM
And Green is better for progressives than Labour has ever been & they've generally had progressive support because people believed Green will never get in and Labour was always more progressive than Tories
January 3, 2026 at 1:16 PM
Arguably with where Green is positioned now, if you want Reform out then Green, not Labour, are the tactical vote. Tactical voting worked last time.
Labour rejected their progressive side to appeal to the right. Progressives don't have anywhere better to go.
January 3, 2026 at 1:14 PM
And Reform would have us go more the way of America & Russia.
January 3, 2026 at 12:57 PM
He'd be pleased with votes towards Reform. Putin wants to destablise Europe & Brexit was our contribution to that. All the other parties have been going along with that. We could of course rejoin the EU & be stronger as part of a bigger force. No way can we rely on our special relationship w/the US.

I'll create an OC whose origin story is that there was another scientist other than Hojo that worked for Shinra, who spliced animal DNA with Sephiroth's, all his experiments were destroyed but only one broke containment, as one who lurks the shadows, taking it as his identity as Shadow the Hedgehog.

I read this dad joke out to my dad and it got a groan.
So I think that's a pretty high praise.

Like Greggs sausage roll or beans on toast.
