I was working in Ann Arbor the night Obama was elected. People ran out into the street screaming with joy. They were dancing and running and the entire city turned into a street party. Trump’s death might eclipse even that.

I hope this is true. I am beyond weary of seeing well paid politicians betray us all in covering for systemic sexual abuse of children by the wealthy and powerful.

It’s up to us. We need to save ourselves and each other. We need to all think deeply about what we can do. Can we demonstrate? Can we give shelter to a vulnerable person? Can we support our local food kitchens and homeless shelters? There are many ways we can contribute.

Given that detainees are forced to soil themselves because they are not given access to a toilet, I feel no sympathy for Noem (but plenty for the detainees).

Alamosa is in the San Luis Valley in Colorado, a richly historical Hispanic area of the state. Many of the families have been there for centuries. The national boundaries changed, but the people remained.

Listen. My husband is a problem solver, and sometimes I just want him to sit back and listen. And that’s hard for him because he wants to fix things.

And it sucks when you sleep that ten hours and wake up and are still exhausted. Regular people can’t wrap their minds around fatigue. Hell, I cannot wrap my mind around fatigue, and I have had it for years now.
