Something odd… we’ve actually had decent consistency in the long range about where this next shot of moisture may appear. I don’t remember a time when I’ve seen this much consistency at such long leads. We’ll see if it continues, if so… watch out #Carolinas. #wxtwitter #winterstorm #winterweather

There’s for sure a signal appearing for possible #southeastsnow around the Jan 22-24 timeframe. Tons of fantasy runs today for the Carolinas, plus a couple of runs with cold air suppressed south. While the fantasy runs are fun, suppression is our friend at long leads! Hope it continues!

Below are the ensemble runs of both the GFS and Euro. These individual runs are what are averaged and = the operational runs you so often see. As you can see here, not many showing SE snow through Jan 29…. However, the pattern is still favorable… and we’re watching closely to see how this evolves.
