An Update ♥
Big Update - Please read ♥, Hey @everyone - Seasons Greetings and to those who celebrate - Merry Christmas! I'm coming to you with a heavy hearted update today that I hoped I wouldn't have to make. You may be aware from my discord/social media posts - things have been really tough lately - to give you the short version of the story, the latter part of this year has been plagued by misfortunate events and circumstances including the poor health of several family members, logistical nightmares, losing friends and a bout of sickness that I had through October/November that derailed a significant amount of my day to day life. Work has been quite relentless and with the cost of living crisis we are experiencing I have been under a lot of pressure. I am a self-employed worker in the arts & creative sector and cuts to national funding have made everything harder. At the moment I am working extremely long hours for not enough money to cover the increase in rent that my landlord adds every year. I am having to take on a significant amount of work in January and February to sustain myself a little better throughout the year. With everything getting more expensive it sometimes feels like a war of attrition. This time investment in January and February will add strain on an already strained schedule. The combination of all of the above has left me dark spot mentally. I am extremely burned out and while making audios is genuinely one of my creative passions - missing deadlines repeatedly and feeling constantly behind has started to add to the stress of everything else. I LOVE doing this. Anyone who has heard me speak on the creative process knows that it is something I care deeply about - but part of the problem of caring so much is that the emotional distress when things don't go the way you want can be heavy. With that in mind, I am going to be reducing my audio release schedule for a little while. I'm going to record what I can - when I can to reduce pressure on myself. If some time or opportunity opens up and I'm able to get a bunch of recording done - great! There will be content - I will still release anything that is already completed. At the moment, with January and February both extremely busy, I am setting a soft target of returning to a full calendar of content from March onwards. To my subscribers, thank you so much for your support. I hope you will stick with me during this difficult time. Your support is extremely valuable to me. I would like to point you towards my extensive backlog of audios in case there are some there you haven't heard yet. I will still be releasing Early Access content whenever I can and I may also be able to do some improvised content or ramblefaps to keep the audios going throughout those months. But as I've said, it will be as and when I can. If you're not already subscribed but you like what I do, it's within your means and you would like to see my audio content continue - I would ask you just to take a look at my Patreon or Subscribestar - have a look at the content, take a peek at the tiers and see if there's something there that appeals to you! I have certain income goals which would make it possible for me to do this full time! It would really help me out if you can spare the £10/$12 a month.I believe it's also possible to save some money overall if you sign up for the year all in one go! (on Patreon) Anyway, thank you for reading this. There may be more to this update that I'm forgetting and I'm honestly sad to be seeing out the year on what feels like a down note. But I want to say that I am extremely grateful to you all. To my friends who have supported me emotionally - my subscribers who have kept food on my table - and to all of you who check in on me with a kind word or two. It means the world to me.
