As a retired dean, lol, I always instructed search committees to recommend hiring the best person regardless of race, gender or ethnicity. In my 10 years we ended up with a wonderful and highly diverse faculty. It’s not hard.

I always said that to my graduate students and also added to never pull your citations from another article unless you read the papers and they influenced your research.

Tariffs are charged on imports, not exports. Tariffs are designed to protect domestic industries from foreign competition. Some developing countries, like Argentina, charge export taxes on primary products to raise hard currencies for development projects.

Great, I have never seen the AEA make a more like that. I‘ve been a member since 1981. I have not liked Summers since he was president of Harvard.

Normally you would do an echocardiogram and a CT scan for such analysis. But hey, the taxpayers are paying for it, so let‘s do an MRI. I am also a cardiac patient and agree, an MRI would not be used to assess cardio health.

I am enraged about everything Trump has done with EPA. But one thing to realize is that companies are not going to remove the pollution control equipment they have in place. And it would take several years for companies take advantage or the new rules. And by then, Trump will be gone.
