Not that many/any folks follow me on bsky so I can toss my feelings out into the void pretty safely without wide judgement lol! For those that do or who stumbled onto this, hope all of y'all had a great year and have an even better 2026 💜

We even started looking at wedding venues (targeting May 2027, holy shit weddings are so expensive! Like I knew but omg).

I'm trying to tread the line between bragging and putting out the positive feelings because goddamn do I recognize I'm blessed and privileged.

Would I change anything I did this year though? Absolutely not. For what I could control, it was a phenomenal year!

Thanks to our bigger space we were able to host Thanksgiving AND Christmas this year. I can't say why this mattered, it just felt like a milestone I wanted to hit.

We bought a new house, moved, had a vet emergency, had some definite feelings of economic uncertainty like I'm sure 99% of the world this year, all major sources of stress for me along with usual work stress. My mom remarked during Xmas that I already had a healthy amount of grey in my beard at 31.

We have a pretty mature male ginko tree in our front yard. It's beautiful! But the fruits they drop smell AWFUL 😭 takes a solid few hours to cleanup in the Fall.

Depending on where you move the cold isn't THAT extreme outside of like 3 weeks or so. Toronto is especially kind in that regard (but high COL). I imagine you're probably looking in Montreal or Vancouver though. Vancouver can be pretty balmy comparatively but MTL can be bad.
