I’ve not used it much at all recently (mostly on Claude or Gemini) but I think there are a bunch of of customisable tone options that should let you fix this - what are you using now instead, if anything?

Made me think of this rakhim.org/honestly-und...

I'd seen this before but actually didn't know, I think it's potentially a legacy holdover from less smart web forms but from a google I saw some results about it being a UX feature to hint about the card types supported (not-amex?).

Is this for use up front to then statically use that html, or are you generating html in js while the page is being viewed?

I check the date on a blog or article, and how much it matters depends on the content

LLMs/AI - if it’s older then a few months and is talking about recent models, probably very out of date

JS frameworks- 1-2 years maybe for same out of dateness

But concepts/algorithms are more timeless

I got O(n^2) but re-read it like three times because I thought it wouldn't be that simple (just a nested loop on the same n). I remember learning this all the way back in Year 12 Computing

I don’t actually know if there’s any regulation that prevents it, but it feels surprising this would be allowed under EU law, without proving some route to interface with the device and provide the services yourself

Interested if you’ve read the book you mention here/have any thoughts on it?

I worked on (a small part of) this a few years ago! Specifically paying business invoices by Open Banking

But its still easily a net gain over just regular autocomplete and often it will be very quick and write multiple obvious lines near instantly
January 21, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Yeah the autocomplete is the main part that I use, and most of the time it’s really good. Sometimes though it’s a little slow to come up with a suggestion and that can kind of break flow - I know what I would write and would be there already with classic autocomplete, but end up waiting

I use regular copilot daily and find it useful, but I think it being able to answer e.g. questions about the possible approaches for making a change across services, or how I might introduce a new concept into the entire system would be actually useful. Wouldn’t trust it to make the change itself.
