Wife is out of town this week, so I get to cozy up with a cup of coffee and watch @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social ‘s excellent NES doc on the big TV. It doesn’t get much better than this, baby!

Last night, I finished the first three books of Glen Cook's outstanding THE BLACK COMPANY, a dark fantasy series with punchy dialogue, complex characters, and world building that is packed with mystery and horror. I couldn't put it down; it's an absolute must read!

A bus of Bronx middle schoolers pulled up to the Capitol this morning for a long-planned field trip just a few hours after the government shut down.

All Capitol tours were cancelled as the guides can’t work in shutdown.

So I escorted them in myself and gave them a personal tour. They were great!

I am so unbelievably late to this but I just heard the excellent "Good Luck Babe" by Chappelle Roan for the first time, my goodness, what a tune.

Just finished a rewatch of Season 1 of Severance and I’m wrestling with the idea that it might end up becoming my favorite TV show of all time.

Doing my first replay of Red Dead Redemption 2 since it launched. It’s a six year old game but every five minutes I’ll stop and think, “How does this game exist?”

Animation, graphics, writing, acting, world building- I don’t know if anything has surpassed it since?
