Indeed. He has no one in his circle who has led much of anything, let alone anyone who is well versed in the Venezuelan civil war (I'm no expert... but I don't have to be to see that one is needed here). I can only hope that this doesn't result in US troops being IEDed on street corners.

ZM has the rizz. As a former conservative, I love to see a socialist Jew and a socialist Muslim embrace and seek a better world for those who elected them. I hope Mamdani is truly as presented, and is able to achieve the ends he desires, making opponents allies along the way. It's a tall order.

There is still this quiet acceptance of the SC ruling on this. Time for a final act of despotism in which a President arrests whomever he must until an amendment is passed requiring his accountability for acts official or not.

He doesn't just "know what he's told". He shops around to find the person who will tell him what he'd most like to hear. And they then become "many people".
