like prior to the exercise there was serious talk about how libraries must serve our communities and we need to adapt around people's needa n stuff so I thought the exercise would b equally serious but I think we (the GaysTM) made everyone uncomfortable bc the hope side was done hastily

work all staff meeting ended with an exercise where we listed "things that diminish our hope" and me and the other queers were like "politicized identity" and "anti-intellectualism" and then for the other side the prompt was "things that give us hope" and none of us said anything as everyone else
