i think more than the need to speak freely and express our opinions, we should also learn that not having any for certain topics nor sharing them right away is also okay. we are important as individuals, but we are not more important than someone else. /fin

i’m not sure how we can solve this nasty epidemic of inflicting unprovoked cruelty to people we don’t even know. but i think only talking about mental health isn’t enough anymore. i think we need to be more intentional with reaching out to our loved ones and living life outside the virtual world. /5

when someone so young and full of spunk decides to just leave this world, we — as the older generation — should question the part we played into her demise. cause no matter how hard she tried to work her way towards healing, it’s as if strangers bullied her back to where she didn’t want to be in. /4

not every thought or opinion we have deserves to be said out loud. not every observation we have of others need to be said to their faces. it’s one thing to think you’re so important you feel the need to offer unsolicited opinions; it’s another to say it in the meanest words meant to hurt them. /3

i believe so many of us should start sitting down with our thoughts and teach ourselves a little bit of humility. while i appreciate the need to be honest and express our opinions strongly, not everything that comes into our heads is gold. /2
