NUFC, table tennis, golf on the rare occasion I get to play.. and professionally, stuff with computers
Yeh Howe says it was just a tightness in hamstring, probably a precaution, and says he has "a chance" for Chelsea

So a) he was probably just being rested, b) he'll definitely be starting against Chelsea

said elsewhere that I think Willock flattered to deceive a bit. did run with the ball, but don't remember him connecting a pass in their third

Ramsey on the other hand was tidy. took the ball well under pressure, distributed it reasonably or drove forward with ball. always a reliable option

and I think I'd rather get them in 2 leg semi than final?
December 17, 2025 at 10:54 PM
probably because none of our midfielders are "proper" defensive midfielders
December 17, 2025 at 10:41 PM
He's not bad defensively either, for a small, quick-footed player

He tracks his man well, and he's got a knack for getting a toe on the ball when an opponent's running with it

Plus he clearly doesn't have a big ego

Ramsey is honestly underrated. He's not having a load of impact atm because we're generally struggling as a team, but his very basic ability to receive the ball under pressure then either player a neat pass or run short distances with the ball is really important for us

I'd give him a run of games

Huge gap between our quality players and the rest of the squad. Bruno, Hall, Miley, Thiaw are performing at a high level every match where others are up and down like a yoyo

Gordon needs to leave, he's clearly done with NUFC

Sandro looked brighter. Ramsdale a bit more confident

He's the perfect squad player for me because he can come in and not need a run of 20 matches to do something simple like complete a short pass or take the ball under pressure. Our other squad players cannot

But he's certainly not on Bruno's level

I don't agree. He doesn't set the world alight, but he can receive the ball in tight areas and likes to progress the ball by running short distances with it. Doesn't often give it away. Keeps it simple

Tonight he has been primarily tasked with overlapping for Barnes... who then always cuts in
December 17, 2025 at 9:54 PM
Tell you what like that bloke is a fucking size 😂 Jesus christ he's about the width of two of me
December 17, 2025 at 9:49 PM
Isak wasn't great in the air though

IMO we cross high when we run out of options

When Bruno, Miley and Ramsey get the ball, they're trying to play short passes and clever through balls

But when the wide players get the ball, when they're pressed, they run out of ideas and lump it in
December 17, 2025 at 9:46 PM
I don't think that's fair, I don't think he's lazy - he looks fucking wrecked. Even at end of first half he was blowing. He's just nowhere near fit enough imo

But either way I don't think he should be starting for us in games against PL opposition
December 17, 2025 at 9:44 PM
I reckon Miley looks due a stint in nets like, so Woltemade on for Ramsdale
December 17, 2025 at 9:42 PM
Barnes put a couple decent crosses in, Willock flattered to deceive a bit I think - ran with the ball a few times but don't remember a final ball generating any opportunities

Definitely better from him than we've seen a few months back though
December 17, 2025 at 9:19 PM
Was definitely better to watch wasn't it, a bit more dynamic

We're not miles off, but giving ball away too often

Absolutely right about Willock and Ramsey but Willock looks knackered already

Little through balls to Barnes, Murph, Tino, Miley are kinda working to break their block
