Hey, the way I look at it, people in hell want ice water too. It's not tough, it just is, what it is.

I'm well, actually! I know my weaknesses and remove myself from the public when I don't have to shop or travel (which is most of the time, thankfully). I know who I am & the burdens I may bring, so I stand to the side of life and keep to myself.

Everyone can't win, and that's okay with me.

Also, most people who will fix their mouths to say "go to therapy" aren't really saying it for YOU as an individual, (caring for well being) they say it so you're more palatable to be around for THEM. It's used the same way you use a roll of newspaper on a dog. It's about correction, not care.

Finding a good therapist involves telling a small group of people you don't like, your worst fears. Groups of people who will never see or talk to you again but know everything about you. Mind you, therapists are PEOPLE. Fallible & judgemental like everyone else.

If I were to smash this vase in my living room with real vigor, it's gone. There's no putting it back together. 'Coping' is buying another vase. It doesn't fix anything. It's a stop-gap. A replacement of what was. It is not the same.

I've been in the mental health system for over 40 years on this planet, but thank you. No disrespect.
