You're obviously a fan of the show, and that's fine, but you appear to be missing the wider point about queer stories being written by queer people for queer people being important.

There's a politics and nuance about authentic representation involved when even supposed "queer media" is written by straight people for straight people and particularly for straight white women. That's not representation, or authentically queer liberation, that's cultural appropriation. IMO.

This is so astute and on point. I have a real issue with the fact that some gay men can't see the nuance of how frustrating it is that so much even supposedly "queer media" is written by straight women for straight women.
