This entire conversation would go a lot more smoothly if ppl just entertained that the SOUL gives Kris psychic powers. Like. That's literally what's happening - Can read minds - Can use ACT to to paranaturally influence and coerce teammates and Darkners - Can also use ACT to induce illusions - Can astral project (Close your eyes and think about Susie) - Might have clairvoyance (SAVE points and files) - Empathy so powerful that it can connect Kris's life force to their party members Like is it really such a stretch that Toby "Earthbound Halloween Hack" Fox might have filled the protagonist of his notably Mother series-inspired game with ESP shit.
