Tottenham love getting either their inverted FBs or their #10/8 into that wide FB position and having Bradley on the pitch definitely helps Liverpool cover that spot in their press

Why making your most lethal attacking player's role OOP easier for them is important

Featuring: Mo Salah

With Slot's change in defensive system came an adjustment in Salah's role OOP. Slot is able to make Salah's role less complicated while also maintaining a solid defensive structure.

Have United been defending/pressing in a 5-4-1 in the past few games? Having Zirkzee responsible for pressing both CBs who are very wide is allowing them to dribble into midfield uncontested

@carloncarpenter.bsky.social Do you have a video example or analysis on how teams defend when they can’t get pressure on the ball? Or any example of the fundamentals of defending without getting pressure on the ball in a mid block or high block

Szobo moving wide is a big pattern of Liverpool's play this season. Such a hard space to defend when the winger is pressing Trent and the FB is occupied by Salah. It also creates space centrally if you try to track him. Here is a clip vs. AC Milan:

Pretty interesting shape by city putting two 6’s and having 3 midfielders on the next line to try and bait Liverpools press and overload the 2 Liverpool midfielders in their 4-2-4

If baiting the press to play forward has become so common, when will baiting the possession team to go forward through false pressing become the meta

We used SkillCorner data to search for the 'next Jhon Durán' - an uncut gem in South America with physical capacity that belies their age.

Including the PL and MLS, 2004-born Catriel Cabellos ranked first from 683 datapoints for High Intensity Actions.

Tottenham are currently 10th in the league in OPPDA allowed (oppositions PPDA) with 10.54 per game, per understat, which I think is slightly misleading. I don't think too many teams try to press/play a high block against Tottenham and have success, so why could this be so low?

I've built a Football Tactics feed which I'm going to start populating with some of the best tactical accounts on here. It's a curated feed which means only posts which are specifically tagged will go into it so it should be a pretty clean.

@johnspacemuller.com can I chat you about a G+ goals added question I have? I was taking a look at the interactive tables and found an interesting scenario
