Our graphic novel, "In Shadow of Giants," was used in the "AsAmSt 250G Intermediate Seminar: Rise Up! Asian American Leadership and Social Change" class at the University of Massachusetts Boston this past spring. It was mentioned in a presentation at #AAAS2025 conference in April in Boston.

On April 12, 2025, FilVetRep along with partners VFW Post 5471 and the PNAMDC participated in the 2025 Bataan Memorial Death March on the Potomac. The march started on Dangerfield Island Marina in Alexandria, VA. Participants marched up to 14 miles on a route along Potomac River.

On April 10, 2025 at the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C., Philippine Embassy in Washington DC, USA, FilVetRep and VFW Post 5471 proudly honored the memory of thousands of Filipinos and American soldiers who embodied the highest ideals of service and sacrifice, leaving an lasting impact on history.

Philippine Consulate General in New York commemorated Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) and 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Manila with a solemn tribute to Filipino and American WWII vets.

Last week, The Filipino Veterans Recognition and Education Project presented on the Duty to Country Program and conducted a Congressional Gold Ceremony a day before the annual Bataan Memorial Death March at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.
