PR isn't going to happen (constitutional amendment). STV could reduce polarization, but the most polarized places are unlikely to adopt. Congress could increase # of reps to 1920s level or more (1500-3000 reps): make it harder to gerrymander, and help with the electoral college distortion too.

Sure, in the same way they know buying up Toys R Us and loading it up with debt will likely lead to eventual bankruptcy after they've got their money out and left. Someone else's problem by then.

Backup cameras are great (especially in a van or RV). With mirrors as backup it can't fail catastrophically.

Replacing the side mirrors with screens, however, is terrible. I don't think it's legal in the US but I saw it in a European EV (might have been a demo model, not production)
