I’m a fan of it as well as their third album Intimacy. Intimacy has some of my favorite songs by them.

Yes you’re absolutely right about it. I would highly recommend you giving it a shot when you get the chance. It’s a Marvel show that’s unlike anything Disney has put out in the MCU. Also a standalone series so you can go into it blind without needing to watch anything else.

It was mainly how they were being persecuted for their beliefs and that the government is afraid of their religion so they were hunted down and jailed. That sorta thing.

From what I remember it was overtly religious for their specific beliefs. There were several numbers where it was just straight worship for their god. Like it was a church service and they wanted to convert the audience to their religion. Also very Anti China commentary throughout.

I went several years ago. And I can say the performances were cool. However, the propaganda was so heavy handed throughout. At the time I didn’t know about it. I had to look into it after the show. So yeah it was cool but the whole cult vibe is 1000% there.
