That’s why so many people grow miniatures. There are mini-Cattleya for people who don’t have the space for the traditional large Cattleya. There’s also the miniatures like Dendrobium moniliforme, Psygmorchis (Oncidium) pusilla, or Bulbophyllums to name a few.

Are you fertilizing it? They say to fertilize it weekly weakly. It’s also possible it may need some micronutrients. Sometimes that could help give it an additional boost. If you haven’t repotted it in over two years, it may need to be repotted. Target the same size or a pot one inch larger.

Sorry @botensky.bsky.social that is incorrect. This is a hybrid. Cattleya mendelii is in fact a species; however, it is not one of the ancestors, here’s a list of its heritage:

C. warscewiczii 37.5%

C. purpurata 3.1%
