This is the same thing that happened with the Jan 6 criminals. They were going to go case by case before pardoning, but trump got impatient with how long it was taking & decided to just pardon everyone. That's why his actions are always so "broad stroke-ish" He doesn't want to do the actual work.

The founding fathers, I guess, expected presidential candidates to, at the very least, have a conscience, a sense of shame, and self awareness. They never imagined a trump type person running, and winning, the presidency.
