who thinks this is a reasonable person to be POTUS. Regime change? He lies regularly and BSs constantly; it's his way of speaking. A legal, sexual, and economic predator. He's a greedy, sexist, racist buffoon. There is no moral compass here whatsoever. It would be funny if he wasn't so dangerous.

works like this: (unsold) assets (including shares) are treated as if they were sold on December 31, every year. The share of the asset equal to tax then belongs to the gov' from that point on, adjusted every year, until actually sold. The ultimate gain must be adjusted for inflation at that point.

I generally can't agree with taxing wealth as a matter of principle although inequality has reached obscene and insane levels which may justify it, assuming a proper amount of income tax was paid as the wealth was accumulated. However, technology now allows the taxation of capital gains "as you go".

odd listening to all the debate about the "second strike" when All the strikes are murder. Venezuela isn't shipping meth' and it isn't clear how much of the drugs (cocaine) here are headed for the US. (and since when do sellers intend to kill their customers) Calling people terrorists to steal oil.

while our "leaders" gush over TRump in person,
many would like to see "regime change" in the USA.
Perhaps Canada will park our aircraft carrier near Washington.
Oh darn, that's correct, we don't have one.
I guess it's up to you ( :-{))

definitely time for a worker controlled coffee chain
with the correct model, it would work

It's a matter of fact that troops are not merely free to defy illegal orders but have a duty to do so. They really don't (or shouldn't) need to be reminded. The more important impact of the video is to assure the civilian population that this is so, and have the troops know that the civilians know

yes There's plenty of resources and new tech/equipment makes it much more efficient to build a house (in person hours). They should be cheaper (in real $) if that was the only thing that changed. But the person(s) buying the house can also create more wealth to exchange for other things like the house
October 22, 2025 at 3:09 AM
ha ;{) Many of us realize that there are tens of millions of relatively good, thoughtful people in the US. Unfortunately your (effectively) two party system split along lines of stupidity, greed, dishonesty (& cruelty), and you elected the king of fools. Your Burger King serves up too many whoopers
October 16, 2025 at 11:17 PM
you mean "Triumph of the Witless"
I guess that's the sequel

yes, remember that "peace" was always available every day
The IDF could just leave (and Hamas would not follow)
They completely control the sea, air, and (access to) the land
could have set a hostage release date

hostage release is good
October 14, 2025 at 2:28 AM
yes. you're in an especially dangerous place in the US. At this point, the problems cannot be legitimately addressed without threatening the interests of the wealthy and they'll do anything to prevent that. Citizens United got it wrong. The VOLUME of speech is not protected when it causes problems
October 14, 2025 at 2:13 AM
no point taking anything he says seriously til after the Con leadership review. The first con' laugh word here is "restore".We've never had anything approaching a true meritocracy. They grossly exaggerate the existing impact of DEI. But there's plenty of racism, sexism, nepotism and personal politics.
October 14, 2025 at 1:43 AM
correct. the uncertainty, in itself, is extremely harmful
October 10, 2025 at 10:26 PM
Today, BALANCE "is the last refuge of the scoundrel". Given what they're facing, "hitting both sides equally" isn't honest.
October 2, 2025 at 2:19 AM
yes. the net wealth generated by the combination of AI and robotics needs to be owned by the population as a whole. the government could technically own it and lease it to capitalist, or preferably worker controlled, firms. nothing wrong with labour-saving technology, but benefits must be shared.
September 30, 2025 at 12:53 AM
sometimes people want their hands tied. what's that you're saying benjamin? "Gee, I'd really like to annex the west bank (for you religious nutbars), but TRump says I can't."
September 26, 2025 at 1:54 AM
Part of the conservative capitalist scam. Worker's may lose industry, firm, and plant, skills, knowledge and relationships (assets), so why don't they have control. Why are they an "expense" when they create the value added WITHIN the firm. Employment is an exchange benefitting the firm; not a gift.
September 25, 2025 at 7:36 PM
yes. Regarding the current "free" speech controversy, control of what people see and hear and think, has much less to do with a (long running) show that's canceled, than it has to do with ownership and control of what gets produced in the first place. Everyone involved knows what's welcome and not.
September 25, 2025 at 2:51 AM
correct His speech - that the MAGA crowd (like the left) was trying to distance themselves from the shooter - was correct. The political leanings of the shooter (which shouldn't matter) weren't clear at the time, so what he arguably implied turned out to be mistaken. We also need freedom to be heard
September 25, 2025 at 2:39 AM
They are not only putting a chill on speech, they are corruptly incentivizing other speech.(Hard to watch shameless CEOs flattering Trump) This (seems new and) is being noticed because something is taken away. It's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ruling class control of speech in media.
September 20, 2025 at 2:25 AM
hello. politics there is quite interesting ( :-{)
I've heard you're promoting some change in the grocery store area. I would recommend trying a member coop. We have Red River Coop here in Winnipeg. It's worked great for many years here. It is also a gas retailer. Pays dividends to members. cheers
September 20, 2025 at 2:19 AM
capitalism is a poor system
Unions are (one part of) a necessary response
while it exists
But is should be replaced
September 2, 2025 at 2:24 AM
yes
I suspect that the tepid response from world leaders is connected to the ongoing trade/tariff threats from the white house, in an environment where both US parties are controlled by AIPAC (and other local Zionist groups) on this issue. Canada is complicit in this and we should be doing far more
