The best book recently on nationalism I have read is Stuart Ward's 'Untied Kingdom: A Global History of the End of Britain' (Cambridge UP). It is a brilliant history since 1945 the slow waning of 'Britishness'.

Great listening to all Culture Power Politics. Looking forward to the nationalism episode - do please invite or consult Richard Wyn Jones (who is the sharpest on Welsh, English, Scottish, Irish), and Mike Small from Bella Caledonia has also some great writing on Scotland.

Indeed. It is interesting how More in Common polling differs so drastically from YouGov and Find Out Now - especially with far lower Green polling and higher for Lab and Con in More in Common compared to YouGov and Find Out Now. Different criteria?

"World" Series (i.e. USA & Canada)? The football World Cup is exactly that - a World Cup. Football and Cricket are by far the biggest sports in the world.
