It’s only a matter of time before I'm staring at you from the cover of a Wheaties box
Soccer Dog: The Movie (1999), closely followed by Soccer Dog: European Cup (2004)

Ah right, that's fair enough (didn't realise the studios' take will vary like that). Yeah, like you say, a really complex situation for cinema managers!

That assumes similar uptake for the hypothetical shorter films though. Suspect any new Avengers film will pack em out, so 2 or 3 relatively full screenings a day may still be more profitable than 5 alternative screenings for a couple weeks

Kiss of death for Martinez!

Spot on.

You should start by aiming for some of the time

Not new, not huge

In what other industry can you publicly tell your bosses they're wankers, then a fortnight later get a nice golden goodbye, and how do I break into it?!

Yep, like I say, he's not performing as well as we'd expect. 2nd half though he's in place for a tap in if Martinelli makes the right decision to pass instead of shooting.

Just rewatched the highlights and to be fair, in the 2nd half there were three moments that on another day lead to goals. He's definitely underperforming, but I think it's being compounded by a bit of bad luck

Funnily enough, I was in a suburban pub last night and nearly everyone in there was drinking either Moonshine or Timmy's (both immaculately kept).

Then, round the corner The Broadfield had Boddies on cask. Nice to finally try it. Very sessionable.

Q for the pod if you're recording today:

Would you start Madueke again at the weekend? Surely there's not gonna be a better opportunity to reward good form and give Saka a little reminder not to rest of his laurels (not that he does, but still).

Glad he's not playing, but yeah, we're conditioned (no pun intended) to fear the worst!

Any idea if Timber has just been given the time off, or more or an injury concern?

Megalopolis. Legit the worst film I've ever seen in the cinema. Wasn't even in the amusingly bad realm, just utterly dreadful.

Also, Requiem for a dream for how harrowing it is

Some brutal (no pun intended) omissions from the best 5, but in no particular order:

Sorry, Baby
Hot Milk
Train Dreams
A Complete Unknown
A Real Pain

Not seen too many duds, but Together and The Mastermind were both disappointing. Spinal Tap II was a bit crap as well
