Potentially useful in the future.
Our Smudge gets a cascade of awws every time she displays her belly like that.

Remember Carter's funeral where Obama drew the short straw and had to keep him entertained so that he wouldn't make the funeral about himself?

I wonder which world leader is going to get stuck with that duty this time.

Is it any surprise that the Trump goons are too stupid to pull off an extortion scheme?

* A sufficient number of Wisconsinites didn't appreciate an oligarch trying to buy their civil liberties _this time_.

We have to get money out of this shit or Musk and co will channel their rage into making it harder for people to vote against their will in the future.

When hate calls with a paid (maybe, it's Trump after all) gig, we stand up and sign the contract.

Question: This is a federal court order right? Could Trump pardon his lackeys if they are held in contempt for ignoring it? Is there a point at which there are no paths to evade accountability?

True, but this means every disaster will go through Congressional funding. If you're maga GOP this is great because it means you can drag your feet over concerns about deficit impact, fed dependency, etc, for the purpose of making the blue state libtards suffer for as long as possible. eg Ted Cruz

Surely the self-styled "free speech absolutists" are up in arms about this
January 23, 2025 at 8:08 AM
I like this man's style, tho I fear the message will be lost on most of the GOP.
January 23, 2025 at 7:59 AM
The only qualification that matters to the GOP is blind loyalty to Trump. Going loud on him being an abuser, a creep, and a drunkard _may_ succeed because the GOP won't be able to plead ignorance after the fact.

If you commit violence for Trump's benefit, he may eventually sign a sheet of paper granting you your freedom. And with everyone falling in line, you may not even be charged with a crime.

In Trump-world, the follow-on nominees are always somehow worse. There is no lower bound.

Or just administrative tasks. Secretary Austin was a 4 star general before he took the job. Ask him what he found to be the most challenging parts of the job initially and over the past 4 years. Then hammer Hegseth on those topics.

The US military also functions as the most capable and largest humanitarian relief organization on the planet, both for domestic and international disasters, and typically in conjunction with other relief orgs. For example: www.southcom.mil/HaitiEarthqu...

It's not a handout when it benefits him specifically. Of course since he owns Trump he'll have a signed check courtesy of the American taxpayer in a week's time.

A quick scan through twitter shows that none of the morons whose response to most legislation is to frame it as an assault on freedom with the refrain of "Your government hates you" have much to say about this. It's weird.

I thought the law was changed so that the inmate firefighters have their records expunged and are able to apply without having to wait out their parole first

New law in 1 minute: California eases hiring of ex-inmate firefighters

Whatever they did to wind up in jail, they chose to volunteer, train, and serve the community. Once they are released I hope that those who wish to continue as firefighters are able to do so.
