Why? 10% of Americans are illiterate, & only 70% graduate HS, & of those, 50% go to college. The GOP has been dumbing down America for years. Vladimir Putin was right, saying, “Wars are won by teachers.” The dumbing down of America has been a success.
America was given a choice between a lawless, amoral monster and a qualified, intelligent, joyful woman of color—and it chose the monster. We need to reckon with the reality of what that says about so many of us here.

End the filibuster! The filibuster is a Senate rule, not Constitutional, & is a vestigial tool of racism. Also, end the Electoral College! It was partly made for white male slave owners who didn't want a 2-party system when freed slaves could vote. We’ve now learned it’s too easily corrupted.

I honestly don't know the answer to my question. In how many cases has the government maintained that DOGE is not an agency. Have they maintained in any case that it is? Have they refused to say in some cases? This particular bit of Hollander's opinion is crucial: they can't have it both ways.

Abortion decisions should be wholly private & not political. Lost in the debate are ideas about "ensoulment,” "quickening,” & “first breath” related to history, medicine, religions, & the Constitution. Neither medical science nor the Constitution posit a soul’s existence or zygote’s birthright.
