I would argue Bill Clinton had a lot to do with the change in Republican playbook.
Abandoning unions made it so Republicans could rebrand into the party of the church to try and appeal to the religious part of that block, and it stuck. Since the 90s Dems have been moving to the right.

Hey. I am sure if the Dems had power since the inception of this hideous organization they'd disband it.
If they didn't have the votes to do that, they'd certainly not vote to give them more money. And that would NEVER happen under a Dem president

I was told it was a binary system. If the party in power is D fascism is off. But when it's R then it switches to on.

Fascism is bad. I said the Republican party is fascist, which means I think they are bad.
If I think a party is made up of evil people and ideas I won't waste breath asking them to do better because I think they are POS.

Maybe they shouldn't have abandoned unions, and transitioned to the party of the professional class. Thus enabling the Republicans.
Maybe they should stop trying to get those Republican votes by compromising and instead take up populist ideas.

Never stated it was equal between parties. These Dems aren't the Dems of the new deal. These people are not your friends, stop worshipping them. They are not paragons of virtue simply because they are Democrats. We don't beat fascism by pretending like the emperor has no clothes.

I am in no way remaining quiet about my distaste for the Republican agenda by calling them a fascist party.

I'm blaming the Democrats for allowing the Republicans to creep closer and closer into fascism without doing anything in fear of breaking the norms. I'm a socialist who believes the fascist(R) party who is killing our people isn't going to be stopped by the (D) party who allowed and enabled them.

nomination was up 190+days During that the WH should have started every communication about how the Senate is creating a constitutional crisis. Dems said theyd take back the nomination 2let Clinton nominate someone else as a threat tactic. Hardly mentioned him at her acceptance speech/on the trail.
