I think it depends on what you mean by “tech,” I would love to include indigenous discoveries in our repertoire of “tech.” The thing is, unless we learn to be mindful of the quality of life for humans and the planet, tech advances are going to be awful regardless of what they do.

Every time I see these dishes I remember a pic I saw once of a uranium glass flute, and wonder if the player got lip cancer or something. Anyway, I think it was in some museum which is definitely for the best!

And there’s no inherent reason for men to be worse at those tasks, which mostly involve communication & social awareness. The patriarchal playbook is not big on any of that, so men are working with an outdated system & need a new & improved one.

It will be a great day when men (broadly speaking) wake up to the fact that patriarchy harms them as much as it does everyone else. There are so many emotionally stunted, miserable men out there making it everyone’s problem when all they need to do is walk away from the bullshit.

The amount of talent in your family is spectacular! Dropout is amazing. Then again I dropped out of 1st grade, so I encourage dropping out (later graduated summa cum laude from college). We all have our own paths, that’s what makes being human so great.
