Anyone going to the 76TH INTERNATIONAL ASTRONAUTICAL CONGRESS (Sydney) next Friday? Apparently it’s a free day so I’ll be hanging around 🍻

Any other aussies wake up at 3:30am on a work day Monday? 😅 Quick single exposure to see the stars close to totality. Next one in March is at a much more forgiving evening time.

Saturday night's 97% Moon. When it hits 100% around 3:30am AEST tomorrow, it will go blood red as we enter the totality of a full lunar eclipse. Not the best time for those of us with day jobs, but there will be an evening one in March 2026 if you miss this one.

Imagine having your solar daytime astronomy session ruined by a *f#+king* streetlight. Is that irony or just basically unfortunate?

HAVE YOU NOTICED THE MOON ISN’T “HOT” ANYMORE SINCE I STARTED POSTING ABOUT SOLAR? I WILL MAKE SOLAR ASTRONOMY GREAT AGAIN. SOME PEOPLE SAY IT’S AT MAXIMUM THANKS TO ME, UNLIKE THE SOLAR MINIMUM I INHERITED AFTER OBAMA - I FIXED IT. THNK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.
