If you don't already know, I'm not gonna be the one to break it to you. He/Him.
I worked at a game store for basically the entire PS2 generation and I've got literally fifty of these. Some of them are pretty rad little curios -- the one for XIII came with a soundtrack disc and some BTS content in a little fold-out case/mini art book.

Such a lovely little gem. Pure delight every time.

Primal and WET were both rad as hell!

Yeah, that was the exact note that got the whole testing policy nixed at my last office job -- "the service dept won't exist anymore if you start randomly screening for THC".

For whatever reason, the exchange with the cartoonishly French first boss has always stuck in my brain.
('We Have Jack Bauer At Home' Growl): "Anton Girdeux! I hope Rohmer's paying you enough to DIE for him."
(John Cleese-Level Accent): "Gabriel Logan!! Always t'e optiMIST!!"

Soul Bubbles is legit one of my very favorite DS games, that it seems like very few others have ever heard of. Beautiful nature visuals, very fun and intuitive touchscreen gameplay.

"Doodle Hex" was an anime-inspired magic-battle game, you'd draw glyphs and symbols on the touchscreen to cast your spells while also keeping an eye on your opponent on the top screen so you could cast defensive spells etc when they would attack you. Pretty fun! Good art too

Thank God we've built virtual edgelords! Maybe now we'll be able to avert the prophecies, you know, all the ones that forsee the Great Edgelord Deficiency of 2029

Yeah, but then post-credits scene when the demogorgon lowers his sunglasses and says "Well THAT just happened!" and they all just laugh and laugh and laugh for like twelve minutes straight... That was worth it all.

Ugh... Is "skeet" really the term we landed on

Whoa, I have both of these! Never played Uplink though... Guess it's time to hook my PS2 back up

Oh man, forgot they had a Pennywise soundtrack. That game ruled!! My local arcade also had the snowboarding one, so damn fun.

...?? He was a teen when he was in stuff like Freaks and Geeks and Donnie Darko

That kind of thing was really weirdly common in the late 80s/early 90s. RoboCop and The Toxic Avenger both had Saturday morning cartoons, which is WILD.

Oh man, you can get your kids to remember to plug in their own devices?! Feel like you're already ahead of the game right there.

I've always been partial to Sam Raimi's storyboard images for Evil Dead 2, like this one depicting the finale battle

Yeah, it all led to Horizon Worlds on VR. Which, based on how much my 8 year old loves the fan-made ATLA World that lets him have bending battles with other 8 year olds, seems to have been a sound investment? Definitely nothing close to what they were pitching though
