When not working in public service, I'm trying to learn 3D art and writing. (Getting back into creative pursuits after 10 years of stagnation.) He/Him.
Picked up the original draft, loved the art. Might try and pitch it to my friends who enjoy Arknights for that military+magic genre.

Love the art!

The fact that I played it in middle school makes it pull me back in with the nostalgia.

It's a bit more like wargaming than modern DnD, measuring out distances and less theatre of the mind kind of gameplay, but the art is beautiful, a lot of world building to get through, but so far my friends seem to have fun.

Might not be something you're into, but have you seen the Lancer TTRPG, it's one of the only mecha ones on the market.

Also don't feel bad about relying on reference, there's a reason 3D artists and 2d artists have overlap in animation and game studios. Best references for "organisms" is usually a front and side profile, usually with arms in the fabled T-pose.

Sculpting and anatomy practice transfer over from traditional from the offset. I would say you don't need to know digital art, but to get the handle of shortcuts, UI, and other things it might be best to start with a tutorial. Scene composition and painting might show up later in person rendering.

Overpopulation was a way for Developed Nations to shift blame of emissions and over consumption to Developing Nations.

Warframe is probably more like the reverse of gatcha in some of those regards. Rewards from in-game activities is RNG, but you can pay to have "it" now. So by paying for things you technically have less daily tasks to do until you get those diminishing returns.

I used to play Rainbow Six Siege blasting music and it kind of made me learn more about positioning instead of relying on audio cues. Don't know how to transfer that to Splatoon though.

I ran into the same thing. Everything without lights was premium or required me to basically craft fans myself. Not to mention graphics cards have RGB baked into them now.

Colorado Public Radio/NPR had an interview with a Ukrainian singer who talked about the song's melody originally being an antique folk song.

Digital Extremes is going to be there for five minutes, with Rebecca Ford and Megan Everett, drop their major Warframe content update live, then leave.

Yeah. I wonder if there's a study out there that looks at posted speed limits versus driver speed.
December 8, 2024 at 11:05 PM
In general though I rarely see drivers actually respect residential speed limits unless there are a bunch of trees, bollards, or street parking. Part of that is how wide our streets are, making drivers feel safer increases their speed.

Like the anonymous space and the design make it inherently toxic. But like you said that's most all MOBAs. I would say I don't agree with the OP too much because games like OW and MR are missing that item lead component, although ulti resources take their place. It's not like fighting a fed Illaoi.
December 7, 2024 at 6:05 AM
I would say it's not the learning phase. Though MOBA players expect even new people to know what they're doing. It's that with skill ranked matchmaking, people are expected to lose 50%. It's that for a team game it really doesn't incentivise teamwork. I also think LoL is shorthand for toxic MOBAs

I have a lot of friends who play LoL and I used to play smite. I think a major hurdle for these games is that the early game is basically 1v1 (2v2 for duo) and then only after someone is inevitably weaker than their opponent it asks everyone to then start working as a team, with wide gulfs in items.

This is basically what I have been told, although this only focuses on poses really. Environments/background might be harder.

I've seen a lot of artists talk about drawing from imagination, maybe only looking up simple pose references if characters are in the scene. That or only spending like 30 seconds on blocking out a pose/scene from reference and then adding your own touch.

There's a relatively positive one in Mass Effect. It's a plant called Thorian and if you spare it the citizens that it's connected to become an elite fighting force in the finale.
