TL;DR Plurbus is filled with terrible writing. I do not recommend you watch this show. Watching the entire season had no pay off. Even the seasons mic drop moment just felt absolutely pointless.

I might as well have watched Breathless again it was that bad.

The sci-fi side of things felt rudimentary. The concept has been done before and better. As a character study it felt like a White man tried to write a White woman excerise. Which became evident throughout the season and then it slaps that in you in the face during episode 8 and through ep 9.

Not monster horror and there isn't gore within it. But the way it talked about consent was so terrible that it felt like we were watching how men callously treat consent. It became very clear early on that there was no real consent with one of the men side characters.

The show ultimately boiled down to watching Karen try to save the world. It's absolutely exhausting to watch. Now if we reframe this as the main character as the villain. Then the series becomes more horror side of sci-fi. But honestly this series felt like horror throughout.
