This is a consistent problem in NOLA that I've never experienced anywhere else. Why do people play their music so FUCKING loud. Everyone's houses are smooshed right next to each other there's no way you don't think your neighbors won't be able to hear it

The thing I appreicate most about Collins as a writer is that the occasionally clunkiness of her plots are more than made up for with rock-solid theming and a fantastic eye for imagery
