It's been too long since I was there. My hikes were memorable. I hiked in fog, rain, a blizzard, and blazing sun, all in 5 days. #ParkChat

Beautiful. Glaciers is on my list of most-wanted parks to visit.

And, now I just learned there are standards for cave lighting. Makes sense. I'm afraid to see some of those mismanaged caves. #ParkChat

Nice photo. They can be so hard to find when they're roosting or on the nest.

A9. I've seen the wonderful Ridges Sanctuary in Door County, WI, several times, but never in fall. In October I discovered a new visitor center, refurbished lighthouses, and fall color.

What an amazing view. What a photo! How did you make yourself leave that spot?

Yes, none of those mountains to get in the way. 😂

A6. I could see the aurora dimly a couple times. I'm trying to learn how to use a camera to enhance this. Even though I was born just below the 40th parallel N, I believe I should have been born much farther north. Something calls to me, if not the ancestors.

A4. From my farm, but the first sunset photo I found. Taken several days ago, these are clouds bringing our first significant snow of the winter.

A3. This past October I had a meetup with @tthrash.bsky.social during my first-ever trip to New York state. #ParkChat has helped me meet the most interesting people! I so enjoyed our meetup, Tom.

A1. It's sad to see the NPS can't participate, and we have lost some regular chatters. However, some were gone before we moved here. Others have rejoined only after we moved. We have some new faces, too. I think, on the whole, it has been positive. #ParkChat
