It's not a peculiar start. It's news. The what, the when the, where and the why. We know the when and where already, so it's the what and why that goes in the first paragraph. The what is stated. The only why is the justification presented by the IDF, that is also stated. This is how to do news.

Parrot would be to say the words as though they are your own. Reporting is to publish with attribution the words of others.

Hostile to whom?

Attacking people and breaking into palaces was already illegal. This suppression of free speech didn't affect that.

Honestly I'm not trying to argue if people think it has value, people are still buying it. I don't understand why they are buying it. It used to be an alternative currency but that's long gone.

If all of Bitcoin is held by large institutions it's not a currency because no transactions can be made with it, it has zero value. Your house has value, it's a place to live and the land it sits on is made from real dirt that other people covet. Your house value may fluctuate but not to zero.

What is the value of said property if it's not currency and it's not an asset?

If Bitcoin isn't a currency and it's not an asset what is it?
February 9, 2026 at 2:10 AM
Bitcoin's value was the belief that it could make you rich quick, that doesn't seem believable anymore.

If they owned all of it it would become worthless. If no one is trading it or actually using it for commerce it's not worth anything at all.

Social media companies aren't pushing for a national ban
February 6, 2026 at 4:40 PM
Today's under 16 users are the over 16's of tomorrow. The under 16's are being advertised at, heavily.

To be fair it's very hard to compare the outcomes of these two actions.
February 6, 2026 at 12:54 PM
There are other ways to keep user engagement. If you take away the under 16 age group you remove the most important cohort of user acquisition. Remove the young from social media and they will develop other commutation habits and won't have an interest in boring adult spaces when available.
February 6, 2026 at 12:39 PM
This is a FAR more effective way to 'make social media safer for kids' than u16 bans.

Disagree. The content on social media is and will continue to be unhealthy for everyone but especially the under 16 age

Capital expenditure (CapEx) refers to funds a company uses to purchase, improve, or maintain physical, long-term assets-such as property, buildings, technology, or equipment-to upgrade capacity or efficiency.
