UXR roles don’t deliver value. Hyper specialized roles inflate costs and do work around the work. Process can be learned, research can be learned. Research reduces risk, but never eliminates it. Research isn’t always needed because , in most cases, you can quickly ID & accept/mitigate risk.

It was harder to get in the door, you had to have talent. Developing talent meant learning respect. When music became easier to create & consume, dumber people & music became more prevalent. What annoys me is that there is rarely a new song from a new artist, longer than 1:30. Ringtone rap, SMH

I hear you, but using AI in writing is a lot like using grids and type systems in design. Sure, they’re common tools, maybe even clichés, but they don’t decide the story. The designer does. Craft isn’t just in the tool or the component, it’s in how you wield it, when you break it, and why.

Using AI to write is like designing with a pattern library. The creative intent, the layout, the flow, that’s all still the designer’s job. The components aren’t the creativity, they’re the tools. It’s not curation, it’s composition. AI might hand you the bricks, but you still build the house.
