Turkey doesn’t have a border with Russia. If Finland did the same (when it’s ”only” an incursion), what would stop Russia from starting to shoot down Finnish (or other NATO) jets when they’re flying close to the Russian border ?

FOI (Swedish Defence Research Agency) has released an open source appreciation of allies arctic warfare capabilities.
Nothing super surprising other than that the UK is judged to have only one capable battalion, but it's no secret that the UK's capabilities are very thin.

Rapporten redovisar resultat från en studie vars syfte har varit att beskriva de militära krav som ställs på operationer på Nordkalotten samt att förteckna de västliga förband som möter dessa krav. För att kunna bedöma i vilken utsträckning ett förband har förmåga att operera på Nordkalotten har tre kriterier formulerats, vilka sedan har tillämpats på en uppsättning västliga förband. Studien har genomförts som en litteraturstudie av öppna källor, främst nyhetsmaterial från de senaste fem årens militära övningar i området. I slutsatserna presenteras de förband som bedöms ha denna förmåga. Dessa är i huvudsak koncentrerade till Norge, Finland och USA.

So in Sweden there is a raging debate over the new “cultural canon.” What belongs? How were the selections made? Should the list even exist?

Whatever the merits, we can safely say that the Saab 37 Viggen puts the “canon” in “cultural canon,” where it now sits along side Pippi Longstocking.

Less than 1,5 years as a NATO member and Finland has already built up a new NATO command.

NATO’s Multi-Corps Land Component Command has became operational at Mikkeli in conjunction with the Finnish Army Command on 1 September.
