Watching the fog gradually lift this morning, becoming clear in localized areas, as seen with the camera from Bogus.

From satellite, can see the fog / low stratus throughout the Lower & Upper Treasure Valley all the way to the Western Magic Valley and beyond.

NWS Boise: Dense fog in the central and western Snake Basin has deposited a thin coating of clear ice, also known as "black" ice, on roads and sidewalks. Be extra careful stepping onto an icy sidewalk. If possible, park on a flat surface, and walk on grass rather than on icy concrete.

NWS Boise: A Dense Fog Advisory will remain in effect across the western Snake Plain, as well as the Weiser Basin, through 1pm MST Friday. Low visibility will create difficult driving conditions. Make sure to use caution and increase following distance. Satellite animation: WA/OR/ID.
