Honorable law enforcement officials who have to shoot someone are terribly distressed. They get counseling and take time off. This guy isn’t in that category. The only bad thing he might face is a hangover from celebrating his kill like a hunter, with lots of cheap liquor toasts from his thug bros.

Politicians who really care about drug abuse deaths should redirect part of the military budget to drug treatment programs. The 30 day rehabs have a huge failure rate, saving some of those lives would be expensive. But sinking a little alleged drug boat costs millions.

If Lee Greenwood was booked to perform at the Rose Bowl, and it got renamed the Jane Fonda Rose Bowl, the hypocrites at Fox News would vociferously defend his right to cancel. No double standard. Agreeing to perform at X shouldn’t compel someone to perform at Y if they find the renaming offensive.

Trump sued the New York Times for saying he using the Big Lie propaganda technique. I have a new take on that. At first he knew it was a lie that would guarantee MAGA would vote in large numbers in 2024. But now his failing mind actually believes 2020 was stolen. So sad for him and for us.

Despite what X, Bluesky etc. and podcasts might suggest, a majority of Americans aren't obsessed about politics. They aren't radical right or left. The prosecutor had the ability to select a jury that could be fair to both sides. Same for Grand Juries that refuse to return "retribution indictments."

The "Epstein Files" may contain unreliable materials comparable in credibility to the allegation Biden took bribes. I want to see, e.g. something from Bannon (post being fired by Trump) on that alleged incident. I don't have faith in what a lawyer said in court papers seeking a money damages award.

However you do make a valid point. A better reply would have been "Do you believe allegations in law suits should be accepted as true, without waiting for completion of the adversary process, where both sides are able to cross examine witnesses and present evidence?"

Should it be the responsibility of the poster to negate the reasonable inference it creates? It would have been easy to say it is something prepared by a lawyer on behalf of a client, which was included in the Epstein Files. I know that's not the prevailing integrity standard online. Unfortunately.

I might not be the first to point this out, but this isn't from the Epstein Files. The phone number in the margin shows this is from a lawsuit filed by the Panish Shea law firm, representing an alleged victim Plaintiff identified as Doe. Trump should be impeached but let's be careful and truthful.

I’d support naming the Kennedy Center bathrooms after him. He’s made millions of us vomit with his attacks on vulnerable people, which offend the inherent respect for human dignity most Americans share. I’m thinking many defectors from his cause are Christians who are disgusted by that.

I don't want to see anyone hurt, including ICE officers. But the fact none have been killed means they aren't going after gang members, drug dealers, other criminals. Nope, main targets: those who been here for years, working, married to citizens with citizen children, even veterans. Embarrassing.
