The oak grove at the grotto Circle X in the Santa Monica Mountains, California where the Woolsey fire burned through in 2018. Beautiful pink lions mane in the heart of this tree that got burned and lived. Local ecosystem resilience and symbiosis in action!

Brent moved to Cerro Gordo at the start of the pandemic to tell the history of this silver boom town founded in 1855. The town straddles the peak between the Owens Valley and Nevada and looks west over Owens Lake and Mt Whitney. He’s now restoring the town and welcoming visitors.

Wound up at Cerro Gordo today. It was a spiritual emotional experience to be in those peaks. Will be back again soon for a ghost town tattoo weekend and 🤞 get down into one of the mines. If you aren’t aware of Cerro Gordo check this out https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEjBDKfrqQI4TgzT9YLNT8g
