That sounds nice, but it’s not what’s happening in this case. Drought & overuse has depleted & destroyed their aquifers through subsidence & compression that removes porosity & permeability. Then there is no place for water recharge. See the article. 🧪

Agreed. I'm not talking about geoengineering. I'm talking about mitigation to shift from fossil fuels to renewables with storage to reduce emissions as quickly as possible.
