Yeah doing that with beginners pisses me off so much. It’s hard enough to start and build confidence without worrying about that comparison.

Idk to me it’s like a really weird compliment. I get the intent behind it, but it’s like going “wow that’s a really nice pie you made. I’m glad it tastes better than garbage.”
