I've a suspicion that Farage has his eye on a non-playing captain role. He won't want to give up his numerous lucrative jobs and he knows he's way too toxic to be an effective PM.

I didn't vote for them, does that count? You'd rather I stay quiet? Staying quiet in the face of minority oppression doesn't normally go well though does it. Seriously, you should pick your battles, I'm sure I'm very low down on your list of concerns.

My suspicion is that if they are putting this sort of thing out, it's a distraction for something else that they don't want to draw attention to. If we're hating each other then we aren't hating them, simple.

I don't KNOW the reasons because nobody seems to ask or report. My guess is that there are more people leaving because they are simply disillusioned with the UK, than we realise. It's not just about taxes, which seems to be what the media will have us think. Destination; I'm guessing Europe mostly.

That's NET migration. It could mean that a load of people are emigrating, for reasons that won't all be talked about..

To be fair, I don't think we've learned anything more about Badenoch that we didn't know already. When you've had to go to the bottom of the barrel this is what you'll get. Tories need to have a word with themselves before they get led into extinction.

I accept that my opinion tends towards conspiracy theory but I do think that it represents how many people feel. How people feel is something that should not be up for debate and as such, maybe ought to be acknowledged.

Thanks for responding. I would agree that this may be one factor but like many others, I rather suspect that there is too much input from the media themselves to set the narrative. I also wonder if to keep up with the rate of change, news is sometimes 'grown' by those that feed off it. Imho.

I'm curious to know how this might be affecting say, someone with a house on the market in areas that are adorned with these flags. Personally, I'd take one look and think I probably don't want to live in this area.

I don't know... For what it's worth, my initial instinct reaction to this is gfy. I can't see Ukraine being any more amenable. I'd like to hear some European coalition opinions of it, fairly soon.

Maybe if with responsibility came accountability, then we wouldn't get charlatans like BJ stepping up into roles that are clearly beyond their capabilities, if not their egos.
