It’s fine. For their safety we can do it, we can even formalise it, so long as they promise there will be no ads. We can have - perish the thought - some analysis and keep our eyes on the game. I’m sure they’ll agree to that, given it’s all about player welfare.

I like things that will give it an American flavour. But right now, what with the ludicrous ticket pricing, it just feels like a grotty money-making exercise. Even more so than normal.

I don’t mind those. But ads midway through a half - which is, let’s be frank, what this is for - is not good. I’m a rules purist - or is it pedant?
