Same with my cows - I can immediately tell if they are laying down in the barn as soon as I walk in because I can smell their breath. Kind of a sweet smell.

And they just smell good, the natural wool, waxy smell.

I miss having sheep- as a kid I raised them for 4H. I remember bottle babies living in the house :)
We are thinking maybe this spring we can get a couple to add to the farm. Would have to make a separate pasture from the cows- not that I think the few cows would care.
