We're here in #Nottingham for the annual @communityrail.bsky.social conference. 120 people have turned out from across Britain to share ideas about making the railway network more accessible, station adoption, rejuvenating redundant railway buildings, and boosting tourism by promoting rail travel.

It was terrific meeting folks today at the Edible Felixstowe 'Grow, Cook, Eat Festival' at Great Eastern Square. The best in local food/drink, veg/seed exchange and entertainment. Edible Felixstowe are the volunteer station adopters who built the platform planters and filled them with herbs and veg.

Many thanks to Railscape for cutting the wildflower meadow @ Derby Road station. The seeds were then allowed to drop after which volunteer adopters Tom, Dennis & Rail Officer Thalia collected the branches; they'll be used as compost. A rubbish clear-up capped off the day. @communityrail.bsky.social

A sunshiny and showery day today in #Ipswich is the perfect weather for the memorial garden on platform 3/4. It's taken care of and watered by rail officer Thalia who obviously has green fingers. Bless her, she broke a finger over the weekend so today's rain from Mother Nature is much appreciated!

Yesterday we took part in Planet Positive in Lowestoft, highlighting sustainability/conservation. This is what we do! Promoting rail travel as a much greener option than the car.
Working together, we can all do our part to make our corner of the world a #greeneranglia.

Students from Saxmundham Primary have put their mark on the rail station, colouring birds/dragonflies/ladybirds/flowers/grass which were made into a mural & applied to the waiting room wall. Each pupil's name is next to the artwork. Today was the big unveiling with cakes, the school choir, & music.

The clickety clack soundtrack of @eastsuffolklines.co.uk is being silenced, bit by bit, as the line is modernised. Here's @greateranglia.bsky.social 755409 thundering through a section of old jointed track at Bramfield, on the 8.05am Lowestoft to Ipswich today. @railway200.bsky.social #railway200

As mentioned, there's a closure of the line 25/10 to 2/11. Buses replace trains Ipswich-Halesworth 25/10 to 2/12.Trains run Halesworth-Lowestoft. To avoid any confusion of the replacement bus at #Darsham: the bus to Lowestoft stops in front of the station; the stop to Ipswich is opposite the station
